Treatment of viral fever.
- Tab. Gudcef 200 mgs — 6
(Cefpodoxime 200mgs) - Tab Pentab 40 mg — 6
(Pantoprozole) - Tab. Zinidol SP (or) Zerodol SP — 6
Drug containing following combinations
Aceclofenac –100 mgs
Paracetamol — 325 mgs
Serratiopeptidase — 15 mgs
4. Cough syrup (Cofryl or Benadryl)-1
Above drugs (any brand name) 1-1-1
5. Electral ORS: Dissolve one pocket of Electral (sachet 4.4 gms) in one tumbler (200 ml) of water and advise the patient to drink the full content as a single dose. Repeat the dose for three times a day for two days.
Inj. Normal Saline 1-2 pints (preferably 2 pints) IV drip per day X 2 days.
If IV drip is not possible, then advise the patient to take Electral ORS pockets (12).
Electral ORS: Dissolve two pockets of Electral (sachet 4.4 gms) in one tumbler (200 ml) of water and advise the patient to drink the full content as a single dose. Repeat the dose for three times a day for two days.
If patient has throat irritation or pain
Saline Gargling 3 times a day should be done till the issue is settled.
Steroids should not be used.
If patient has vomiting add
Tab. Vomikind — 6
1-1-1 to be taken 10 minutes before food and repeat whenever necessary.
If patient has Loose motion add
Tab Lopamide — 6
1-1-1 to be taken after food.
If the above regimen is strictly followed all the patients should recover in 24-48 hours. The above treatment may be extended if necessary until the patient becomes asymptomatic.
